Wanda was the first African American woman to open a cannabis dispensary in Colorado. She is a former Navy LT, who then spent twenty-five years in politics, having served on President Obama’s National Finance Committee and as Jared Polis’ campaign Manager in 2008-2009. Seeing the racial disparities in cannabis convictions first hand moved her and her husband to get involved in efforts to legalize and decriminalize cannabis across America.
