Course: Legal Regulation of Psychedelics in the United States (On-Demand)

Course Description

This course will provide an overview of U.S. federal, state, and local laws regulating the possession, use, manufacture, and administration of psychedelics. The presentation will give participants a basic understanding of the policy reform movements happening across the country and compare and contrast the protections contained within both enacted and proposed state and local legislation. The lecture will also include an overview of Oregon’s soon-to-be implemented psilocybin access program Colorado’s recently adopted Natural Medicine Health Act, and the potential for similar regulatory regimes to be established in other states. At the end of the program, participants will be better able to discuss and explain the U.S. regulation of psychedelics.
