2090 Shit—Cookies, New Jersey, winter 2024

Published

on

86 points out of 100

Price: $70/eighth

Cookies has done it again with 2090 Shit. As soon as you open the package, a powerful, pungent, gassy aroma fills the air; the smell is outrageously spectacular. The elegant buds—a cross of Snowman and Y Life—are a wonderful exotic green with orange hairs flooding all over them.

When I lit up, my first taste was very earthy and gassy with hints of lemon. The high is awesome: A very focus-driven feeling with some quality pressure behind the eyes. The body high is a creeper, but when it grabs you it’s like a new girlfriend, and she squeezes you tight; a full-body relaxation that is very soothing.

Pushing Pluto—Culture House, NYC, fall 2024

Price: $50/eighth but varies

Pushing Pluto by the brand To The Moon—sold at Cookies‘ Culture House NYC—is an outrageously special strain. This strain is tricky in a very good way, and that’s what makes it wonderful. This Pushing Pluto strain is the best-smelling strain I’ve got this year! My first time opening the package, the most beautiful scent of berries, grapes, and cream filled the air and the room. The scent was so beautiful, it was like listening to Lucie in the band Poise sing magically. Heavenly.

The crystallization on this strain is next level, it’ll be all over your fingers! The resin on Pushing Pluto should be in the Guinness Book.

Now the fun, tricky part. On my first hit a powerful, skunky, zesty favor reveals itself, then it’s very floral with hints of berries and a sweet, candy aftertaste. The scent when you first smoke it is very different, but it’s still beautiful to enjoy.

Pushing Pluto delivers a head high that has a balanced, very unique, clear, focused feel. It’s holiday weed for music and socializing. The body high is very good. Not too strong, but the soothing relaxation it brings is very enjoyable! This is a prefect strain for a fun day or night! You can’t go wrong with this.Lord Figo

Golden Pineapple—Phat Panda, California, fall 2024

Published

on

By

87 points out of 100

Price: $40/eighth but varies

A sativa revival is a’brewin’ in California. Witness this big bag from Phat Panda that smells bright and jacky with terpinolene. Leafly lists Golden Pineapple as Golden Goat x Pineapple Kush, and that tracks:

  • it’s golden
  • pineapple-y
  • with that filled-up energy bar to match.

These smaller green nugs are medium-density, more spongy than sticky, with that really classic jack terp—the Rolling Stones of terp profiles.

Hand-trimmed, pesticide-free, and a value-buy. Suggested activities include litter removal on your street with your headphones bumpin’ something knocking. Think global, act local.

Phat Panda is a large-scale indoor grower in Washington whose brand has come down to California—welcome, Phat Panda.

Heavy Eye—Cookies, Illinois, Winter 2024

Published

on

By

88 points out of 100

Price: $75 /eighth

If you’re in the market for a heavy-hitting indica, Cookies hits the mark with Heavy Eye. The buds dance in orange hairs and glistened with white trichomes, and the smell has a strong, gassy punch. Heavy Eye comes from the lineage of (Leafly’s 2022 Strain of the Year) Jealousy x Kush Mints. This strain was grown by the high-quality team at Revolution.

When I hit the bong, the strain’s rich flavor hit me immediately: It wasn’t too strong but carried a pleasant undertone of mint that I found refreshing on my exhales. After a few minutes of consumption, I felt a strong sense of euphoria, like someone had wrapped the fuzziest blanket around my brain. I felt tingly, had the munchies, and deeply enjoyed a bad movie. I will be reaching for this one again.
