1370 W Cheyenne Ave #1, North Las Vegas, NV — recreational

“This location has very professional budtenders for the elderly. They have knowledge and patience. A nice young lady there helped me understand my options. Her kindness encouraged me to purchase some new items, and that worked out well for me. It was very late, yet she was quite pleasant.”

Other Reef Dispensary Locations:Las Vegas Strip

4444 W Craig Road 100, Las Vegas, NV — recreational

“Bright atmosphere and friendly staff. The Source is my favorite place to stop for deals.”

150 East Centennial Parkway Suite 114, North Las Vegas, NV — recreational

“The staff was awesome. Super knowledgeable beyond the basics and extremely resourceful. They knew their products very well and had great suggestions. The location was not over the top, was not too loud (common complaint I hear) and didn’t give the typical, ‘we’re bigger than we are’ feel. Their mission is awesome as well, which is what drew me in.

Renck vs. Keeler: Can Broncos, Bo Nix make Vegas oddsmakers look silly?

Published

on

By

Renck: The fake games are over. Time for real impressions. The Broncos enter Week 1 with a new quarterback, a dramatically reshaped roster and the insatiable hunger that comes from being young and overlooked. Now that the roster is set, did coach Sean Payton morph into Gordon Ramsay and create a culinary masterpiece, or will the Broncos once again be devoured by superior opponents? Sean, what do you think? Will the Broncos win more than their sportsbook over-under total of 5.5 victories or fall below into an abyss that nets them a top-five pick?

Keeler: Ramsay? Sunshine Sean’s been as chummy as Bobby Flay lately, my friend. Mind you, he also hasn’t lost a game in eight and a half months, so let’s see what happens once the seas get choppy. That said, Payton’s a high-floor coach with a resume that doesn’t do tank jobs. I believe in the back of the baseball card. Or football card, in this case. Which is why I believe Payton cajoles, twists and drags this roster to seven wins — at the worst.

Renck: Maybe I spent too much time in the sun this weekend, leaving me with fever dreams of adequacy, but I believe the Broncos trip the over. My prediction before camp was six victories with a wink, wink. Now? Give me six with conviction. Bo Nix might as well be Bo the Builder as the Broncos’ construction project takes shape. I think the Broncos were better after the cuts. Losing Tim Patrick hurts, but it means more targets for Courtland Sutton, and Jaleel McLaughlin will emerge as the third-down back to replace Samaje Perine. It’s not like they broke up Don “Air” Coryell’s 1970s Chargers. Denver has plenty of weapons to flirt with mediocrity.

Music friendly Vegas just landed another win with a pairing of Music and Cannabis

Vegas is home to gambling, fine food, singing Elvises (thin and thick) and millions of tourists. It is also home to great music with Celine Dion, Drake, Elton John, Lady Gaga, Frank Sinatra and more gracing the city’s stages. Last year the buzz was about the MSG Sphere, but now a Vegas cannabis exhibit lands major music collaboration is the latest news.  CANNABITION: An Elevated Immersive Experience is following the Sin City tradition of taking something fun and making even bigger.

CANNABITION is a 12,000 square-foot cannabis immersive experience developed to give an incredible experience. In the Planet 13 complex, visitors will have an incredible chance to delve and explore the marijuana world. And now, they have brought in cannabis’s natural partner – music. The experience announced a collaboration with renowned composer, music producer, record label owner Tom Rothrock. His work with iconic artists such as Beck, Elliott Smith, Moby, the Foo Fighters, James Blunt and more has had an impact on the industry and is now going to make a mark in Las Vegas.

His work on Beck’s breakthrough hit “Loser” and his contributions to the albums of multiple Grammy Award-winning artists have cemented his status as a visionary in the field. Rothrock has also contributed to film scores of “Good Will Hunting,” “Collateral” and “The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie.”

His vision for CANNABITION is to present a seamless integration of audio and visual elements. The visitor experience will be enhanced through music complementing the interactive, reality-bending exhibits designed by Emmy Award-winning creative director David Korins. The music will range from subtle, film score-like moments to more prominent, rhythmic-driven pieces across an eclectic variety of genres. The audio experience will touch on Latin and American Hip hop paying tribute to cannabis culture. Appealing to a variety of listeners, CANNABITION will also feature everything from ambient to EDM, indie, alternative rock, funk and more.

Individual exhibits will also feature their own distinct audio identity helping visitors interact with the visual art. As guests enter individual rooms, CANNABITION’s main score will begin to harmonize with new sounds unique to each installation. Moods in each exhibit space will subtly shift as the audio morphs to enhance the visuals.

“Tom Rothrock’s involvement elevates CANNABITION to new heights,” said Michael Stratton, general manager, CANNABITION. “His genius in music production will transport our visitors into an otherworldly experience, making this exhibition unlike anything Las Vegas has ever seen, heard or felt.”

From the early days of Vegas to today, music has played a part in Sin City’s success. Dion 2003-07 Las Vegas residency A New Day, remains the highest-grossing residency in the history of music, according to the Billboard Boxscore.

Published

Now that the first weekend of NBA Summer League is over, games throughout this week will probably feature less and less of the key rotation-caliber players.

That certainly applies to the Nuggets. Standout guard Julian Strawther was in street clothes Tuesday at Denver’s 80-66 loss to the Charlotte Hornets, and he’ll likely be done for the duration of the team’s stay in Las Vegas.
