Police said 16 kilograms of cocaine and $190,750 were seized as part of a Boston-area drug trafficking investigation. A 52-year-old man was also arrested in connection with the drug bust Monday, according to Massachusetts State Police spokesperson Dave Procopio.
Humberto “Pancho” Mesa-Gomez, 52, was taken into custody and charged with trafficking a Class B narcotic, over 200 grams, in connection with the drug bust.
Earlier in 2023, Massachusetts State Troopers assigned to the State Police Detective Unit for Suffolk County District began investigating a drug trafficking organization operating in the Boston area, officials stated.
On March 6, State Police detectives, troopers from the State Police Gang Unit and Narcotics Section, DEA, and Boston police searched a Revere residence said to be connected with the drug trafficking operation.
Authorities found Mesa-Gomez inside the residence, took him into custody and charged him.
