Not many veterans can claim to be the answer to a trivia question, however, this special archived interview from 2022 is with Veteran Stephen Mandile, a Massachusetts native who was the first adult to buy legal cannabis on November 20, 2018 at Cultivate in Leceister MA, one of two dispensaries to launch the Bay States Adult use legal sales. There is so much more to Stephen’s story as CC2CNews Executive Producer Jimmy Young found out as Stephen tells his story and we share every year on Veterans Day. Apologies to the veterans who continue to get kicked around by Congress now denying benefits through the VA regarding medical cannabis. It’s disgusting how our elected officials treat our veterans. The fact that it happened again on Nov. 10th, 2025 when the Senate passed an Appropriations bill and stripped the already agreed access amendment makes this Veterans day a little bitter sweet that this battle for a plant medicine to help is still banned by the Feds.
